The award-winning Lake Of Stars Festival is returning for it’s 10th outing to the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’, taking place on the picturesque palm fringed southern shores of Lake Malawi. Recently rated amongst the world’s most beautiful festivals by Gigwise.com and frequently recognised as a leading player in the African market, Lake of Stars is an adventure not to be missed.
Spread across three days and three stages, the 2015 line up will feature musical talent from Malawi, Africa and beyond. Confirmed so far are cutting-edge Scottish trio Young Fathers, winners of the prestigious 2014 UK Mercury Prize and Scottish album of the year award, Nigerian artist Ric Hassani, and homegrown Malawian talent from Gwamba, Danny Kalima and George Kalukusha.
More acts will be announced soon and festival-goers can expect a diverse range of entertainment spanning poetry, theatre, dance, art and interactive science. A relaxed and welcoming vibe awaits all those who make the effort to travel to one of the safest and friendliest countries in Africa for this unique event.
