Hyde Park Jazz Festival 2021

Hyde Park Book Club will be hosting a day to celebrate the great Leeds jazz scene. After the success of their previous jazz festival, as well as two great years of weekly jazz nights, they will be hosting an all day event with some of their favourite artists from Leeds and a few special guests from further a field.
The event will be running from lunchtime till the early hours of the morning - more information on the lineup and tickets to be released shortly.

Ife Ogunjobi
The unique playing style of trumpeter and arranger, Ife Ogunjobi, is an amalgamation of the Freddie Hubbard/Clifford Brown approach. Ife merges the past legends' style with some of his modern influences of today such as Marquis Hill, Nicholas Payton and Keyon Harrold. During his career he has performed and recorded with a plethora of artists across several genres. These include Moses Boyd, Solange Knowles, Wande Coal, Jason Moran, Dele Sosimi and Jon Cleary.

Award winning contemporary jazz pianist, Matthew Bourne is a vital new voice on the scene. Sharp witted, highly talented and with distinctly anarchic tendencies. With a reputation as a fearlessly unpredictable pianist and composer, Matthew is a passionate explorer of sound, possessed of a burning desire to make music on anything old, broken or infirm.
