HRH Prog Sheffield
This event has been and gone.
Taking their name from the scheming, parasitic lawyer in Charles Dickens' 1850 novel David Copperfield, Uriah Heep is a progressive rock institution who, alongside bands like Deep Purple, Queen, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin, helped lay the foundation for the United Kingdom's vibrant hard rock / heavy metal scene. Since the debut 'Very 'eavy, Very 'umble' was released in 1970, more than thirty musicians have worked with this constantly touring band. This group are an album making machine and still possess the ability to surprise and innovate.

The Pineapple Thief
The Pineapple Thief's 'bittersweet' sound has had them compared to Radiohead, Sigur Ros and Elbow and has entered the consciousness of audiences across Europe. The live show has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting sounds around, delivered with a seemingly impossible level of energy and passion by the British 5-piece.

From its beginnings in a French commune in 1967, through the Virgin Records years, mismanagement, court cases, break-ups and rejoining, deaths and rebirths – GONG has always been a continuous thread of beautiful, dangerous and extraordinary music. The current holders of the flame have come together over the last seven years; sinuous bass player Dave Sturt joined just as the album 2032 was shown to the world; Ian ‘Eastwinds’ East was the next to blow in through the portal; Fabio Golfetti brought his guitars from Brazil (after working with Daevid for many years); Kavus Torabi appeared to Daevid in a vision; Cheb Nettles just sort of turned up. GONG's musically diverse world includes shades of psychedelia, space rock, jazz, avant-garde, krautrock and surreal soundscapes.

Caravan are considered by many to be the undisputed, unsung heroes of the British Prog movement. Often quoted as being one of the most formidable acts to emerge from the '60s progressive rock scene, over the years they have managed to achieve cult status and have maintained a passionate and diehard following. Originally formed in Canterbury in 1968, Caravan were at the heart of the 1970s burgeoning Canterbury rock movement, and produced their own brand of "superior pop music, full of taste, craftsmanship and hard work" (NME) and packed venues worldwide. The current Caravan line-up includes Pye Hastings (1968 founding member: guitar, lead vocals), Geoffrey Richardson (joined 1972: viola, guitar, flute, vocals), Jan Schelhaas (keyboards), Jim Leverton (bass, vocals) and Mark Walker (drums, percussion).

The Vintage Caravan
A young blues / prog rock band from Álftanes, Iceland whose musical influences are very diverse but mainly include the classic hard rock of the 60’s and 70’s. Though the influence may suggest a glorified retro-type band, The Vintage Caravan do it in their own way with a powerful attitude and a modern twist.
