We are excited to announce that Agalloch will finally return to the UK after 9 long years to headline Fortress Festival with a 2025 European exclusive performance. 1349 join Agalloch as main stage 2025 headliners.

Ruïm, Forteresse, Moonlight Sorcery, Ulcerate & many more also join the line-up with UK debut and exclusive 2025 performances. More to be announced in the future.

Festival set to take place on May 31 and June 01 2025 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire at the iconic Scarborough Spa.

"Under the watchful gaze of the carrion crows that beset the castle’s crumbling battlements…the hordes of darkness will stir. The mournful bells of the woebegone church will ring out upon the hillside: soon to be lost amid the ravenous battery of an ancient warlord. And from the ashes of the past, a new stronghold will arise…"

Fortress Festival will return in 2025 following a successful sold-out first and second edition. Taking place across two stages at Scarborough's iconic Scarborough Spa, and with a capacity of 1800 people, a devastating line-up comprising some of the world’s finest and most highly regarded black metal acts will unleash their carnage

Agalloch

Progressive rock band Agalloch hail from Portland, Oregon where they started their own brand of thrash metal. Not wanting to be pigeon-holed as dark metal, Agalloch have always experimented with different styles of rock and different musical arrangements. They borrow heavily from the Scandinavian dark metal genre, which is apparent in their second full length 'Ashes Against the Grain' released in 2006.

Abduction

Formed in 2016 as a shadowy single-man entity, Abduction have made astonishingly fast progress, carving a fearsome reputation for themselves as a standout act in an increasingly crowded extreme metal scene. Performing alone in the early years – a rare sight, despite the many one-man bands in the genre – Abduction’s central protagonist A|V then expanded the band into a full live outfit, to better create intense, ritualistic and immersive performances, both at underground shows and larger festivals.
