It’s time to get lost again in the Garden of Eden! Set within the family-friendly alluring woodlands of Raehill Meadows in Dumfriesshire, this 13 staged festival has over 300 acts performing, covering all musical bases from world to funk, classical to jungle, acoustic to dancehall and everything in between.

Chinese Man, signed by the label Chinese Man records, is a French hip-hop collective formed in 2004. Its main influences are funk, dub, reggae and jazz. Comprising of the Marseilles DJ Zé Mateo and High Ku and the beatmakers SLY and Leolebug, the collective is particularly known for the piece “I’ve Got That Tune,” which was chosen by a large German automobile firm for an advertisement, as well as being the theme song for the French film festival in Hong Kong.

This is the Kit is the musical project of Paris-via-Bristol singer/songwriter Kate Stables who sings and plays banjo and guitar, sometimes solo and other times in other guises: duo, psychedelic rock-formation, 4-4-2, unplugged acoustic gigs, choir workshops, home shows, busking etc. If you thought you didn’t like the banjo, This Is The Kit will prove you wrong as Kate rips forward with a hypnotic twang pattern and a voice of rare beauty, accompanied by a backing band of minimal psychedelia.

Born in 1961 in Muirhouse, Edinburgh he migrated to London to join the punk scene before returning to Scotland in the 80's. His first published book was a collection of short stories entitled 'The Acid House'. That was followed by 'Trainspotting' which launched his career and earned him a booker nomination. His subsequent works: 'Ecstasy', 'Filth' and 'Glue' have all recieved similar acclaim. His latest book called 'Porno', revisits the characters of 'Trainspotting'.
Irvine Welsh tour dates
Britain’s best loved and most important performance poet, John Cooper Clarke is as vital now as he was in the '70s. His biting, satirical, political and very funny verse, delivered in a unique rapid-fire performance style, resonated with the punk movement and he toured with all the seminal bands, from The Sex Pistols to The Clash, until he soon began to draw large crowds in his own right.
John Cooper Clarke is as relevant and vibrant as ever, and his influence just as visible on pop culture. His influence can also be heard in the satirical and keen social observations of artists such as Plan B and the Arctic Monkeys.
As well as his regular TV appearances on the likes of Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Would I Lie To You and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, John also host 6 Music shows and his own BBC Radio 4 Show 'John Cooper Clarke Live at the BBC'.

Mr Motivator rose to fame on the early nineties as he prepared the nation for their day at work with his appearances on GMTV, where his neon spandex and sensational energy made him an overnight hit.
The fittest man in Jamaica has continued with his passion for health and fitness heading up a ton of campaigns to get us all a bit healthier through exercise, campaigns that have made sure that the good man remains close to the nation’s hearts.

DJ Zinc (real name Ben Pettit) is a DJ/producer hailing from East London, his career stretching back to 1993. Zinc went on to produce some of the most well known dance anthems such as 'Super Sharp Shooter' and '138 Trek'. After launching the seminal True Playaz label alongside Hype and Pascal and as part of the Ganja Kru, Zinc continued to release and produce many successful jungle and drum 'n' bass anthems throughout the 90s. In 2001 he launched a new label, Bingo Beats releasing tunes under a new sound he calls 'crack house'.

Bondax are genre defying electronic duo Adam Kaye and George Townsend from Lancashire. They rose to prominence in 2012 via the BBC’s Introducing platform, where the duo received accolades from DJs including Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw. Since then they have graced stages across US and South America, Asia and Australia and the UK including Glastonbury and Bestival.

An unrelenting voodoo trance experience, combining a heady mix of folk and blues roots of the deep south with out-and-out funk and dance. After years of performing and recording several albums with The Souldiers, this Dutch/New Zealand ensemble (comprising Joost van Dyck, sister Cato van Dyck and New Zealand guitarist Daniel ‘Da Freez’ Johnston) embarked on a new journey and formed My Baby in 2012.

A genre-defying tribal pop/experimental worldbeat outfit with roots in both England and Bahrain, Flamingods' dizzying blend of traditional African and Middle Eastern music, psych-folk, and prog falls somewhere in between the Avalanches, Konono Nº1, Animal Collective, and Goat.
Formed in Bahrain in 2010 by Kamal Rasool, Sam Rowe, Charles Prest, Karthik Poduval, and Craig Doporto, the group issued a series of EPs before releasing its debut full-length album, Sun, in 2013 via English indie Art Is Hard.
A change in UK visa laws resulted in Rasool being forced to move back to Bahrain shortly after graduating from university, so the quintet began working remotely, communicating their ideas via samples and snippets on the Internet. The results from those exchanges appeared on their 2014 sophomore outing, Hyperborea.

An acclaimed ‘three deck wizard’, Brian D’Souza, a.k.a. Auntie Flo, has been mixing everything from classic detroit and chicago sounds to forward-thinking afro-house and world music for years in fantastic DJ sets. Auntie Flo has gone from strength to strength, recently winning a residency at Plastic People in London, appearing at various European festivals, as well achieving continual praise for his ‘Highlife’ night. In 2013 Auntie Flo was a nominee for the Scottish Album Of The Year award.

Emerging from leader Johnny Kalsi's massively popular drum classes, the Dhol Foundation (the dhol is a large North Indian drum) perform a wonderful blend of classic Indian music with global rhythms and thumping contemporary beats. This ferociously original fusion should be no surprise as Kalsi has been instrumental in some of the most groundbreaking groups on the Asian and world music scene including bhangra pioneers Alaap, Fun Da Mental, Asian Dub Foundation and Transglobal Underground.

Introducing Bombskare, Scotland's 9 man ska juggernaut, who have been tearing up stages the length and breadth of the British Isles. Reaching zero to sixty skanking miles an hour in the space of three chords, they are tighter than Fort Knox. Their trademark, breakneck ska rhythms and lush, 3 part harmonies work together with choppy guitar sounds and an explosive horn section to truly blow the audience away. Adam Holmes and The Embers combine the rhythm and blues, country and folk music textures of classic artists such as The Band, Neil Young and Ryan Adams and The Cardinals. Adam’s musical education began in the infamous folk clubs of Edinburgh taken along by his mother, a huge fan of UK folk music. He witnessed the legendary live sessions that took place. His father’s influence was equally strong, a love of classic American singer songwriters (notably Neil Young and Townes Van Zandt) which he passed onto to his son, now evident in the transatlantic quality to Adam’s music.
