Exploring strange new worlds of music, theatre, shows, attractions, activities, poets, authors, talks and delicious, healthy food, they’re heading past the Karman Line out into the unknown on a cosmic adventure. Filling the Lulworth Castle universe with rocket ships, crazy constellations and shining stars, our four-day family festival escapades, this coming 28th-31st July, are guaranteed to be out of this world.
So get your space suits on, grab those moon boots and come with us on a voyage into the infinite possibilities of Outer Space at Camp Bestival 2016! Hightlights includes a festival exclusive; a 'Space Symphony' presented by the Royal Albert Hall. This promises to be the perfect family friendly introduction to some of the most famous and recognised pieces of classical music in the universe, so don’t miss it!
Get ready for World Record Breaking Bubble Inc Shows from Samsam Bubble Man, who holds 10 Guinness World Records for Bubbleologist, and Gobbledegook Theatre’s inventive and interactive art that will surprise and delight in unexpected places as they mix up their musical Cosmic Cocktails with Dorset-based group Everyday Sunshine.
You can also let your little stars Blastoff to one of our Musical Mania workshops inspired by the adventures of Buzz Lightyear, or travel to the Planet Frozen, where you will learn the songs, dances and stories inspired by the smash hit Frozen.
Plus events hosted by the National Space Centre, The Science Museum, UK Space Agency, Royal Observatory Greenwich, The Wonder Of Space, Okido, Brickies Legp Space Academy and Urban Astronaut.
Whether you’re heading out at warp speed or leisurely floating in space, they’ll have a host of familiar celestial destinations to visit, including the Kids’ Gardens, Bollywood, the Big Top, The Greatest Tent on Earth, the Dingly Dell, the Bestival Inflatable Church, Caravanserai, the Castle Stage, Son et Lumiere fireworks and lots, lots more.
