The Acoustic Festival is a family friendly chilled week end. With lots more than Music to entertain you. Besides the artists we have comedy sessions, plenty of workshops where you can learn to make things including instruments, learn to play, and crafts . Children are well provided for with skills and craft workshops, play zone with trampolines, swing boats, climbing, chalk wall and where there are always thrills and shrills of delight. The storyteller keeps both the young and old enthralled by the tales. Facepainters, characters, balloon sculptures and much more to keep all ages entertained. Take some time out for yourself and have an Unplugged Healing treatment or reading, a variety of therapies are on offer.
The music A Main stage, the real ale stage, big top, and a Live Lounge host most acts for you over the weekend. Stop off into the many tents to see varied acts playing, plus afternoons with comedy sessions, evenings of blues and bouncy headline acts. Mainly acoustic or un-plugged but at 9pm each evening the electric stage comes to life for the headline act. Eclectic and very roots orientated, punk, pop and rock submerge into a rootsy gendre when un-plugged !
Camping and Caravanning, a 5 star site is within the racecourse centre course. Camping and caravan club, the stay over fields are filled with campervans, caravans and tents, all very close to the event field. Hot showers, posh flushing loos and electric hook up points are situated throughout the site. A beautiful green field, with rolling hills and trees. Breakfast cafe tents, eateries and price capped real ale bars make life a little more easy. The Glamping is at a ridiculously low rate in comparison to most festivals, cheaper than most bed n breakfast! A local Glamping company help out with real beds, bedding and the wow Bell tents with lighting, to go alongside the car, just parked next to your tent!

Lindisfarne first appeared out of Tyneside in the early '70s with an instantly recognisable style - their hit records: Meet Me On The Corner, Lady Eleanor, Fog On The Tyne and Run For Home have achieved classic status. Whilst this mainstream chart success did not stay with them, Lindisfarne remained as popular as ever on the live circuit. The '90s saw a resurgence of interest in their music and albums Here Comes The Neighbourhood 1998 and Promenade 2002 have been received as enthusiastically as anything from the band's past.

Climax Blues Band
After so many years of virtually continuous gigging and recording, the Climax Blues Band remains one of the most consistently entertaining of all the outfits to emerge from the British blues boom of the late sixties.
