Ward 7

The Blakehay Theatre has been chosen by New Zealand writer Kate Spencer as the ideal venue to launch Ward 7. Having debuted in 2012 in New Zealand, this hilarious two act hospital comedy, performed by a great cast of five experienced West Country actors, is destined to be a hit with audiences.

A colourful mixture of patients, staff and visitors meander their way through daily life on Ward 7 under the iron-fisted control of Staff Nurse and the hapless incompetence of trainee Nurse Gabby, who would have much preferred to be a fireman. Characters confess their personal hang-ups, deep secrets are exposed and general confusion reigns. But things are not always as they might appear to be on the unpredictable Ward 7.

An adult comedy that has delighted New Zealand audiences, Ward 7 will appeal to the West Country audience with Kate being born and bred in Bristol.
