Jane Rose: Half A Hot Water Bottle
This collection of Art works is inspired by many varied and unusual found objects off the shores of a remote West coast Scottish island and from the streets of Cheltenham.
Brightly coloured pieces are carefully selected and arranged in recycled wood frames and challenge the spectator to consider the effects of our consumerist, throw away society on the environment. Litter dropped on the streets often travels down the drainage systems and can eventually add to the vast amount of plastic already in the sea and on our beaches.
This is a very thought provoking exhibition which supports the work of the Marine Conservation Society.
Jane Rose was born and educated in Cheltenham. She studied for her MA in 2006 at De Montfort University in Leicester. In 1995 she relocated with her three children to the Isle of Colonsay. She currently has permanent exhibitions at eight Sealife Centres in the UK and Ireland.
Held in the Concourse.
