A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is one of the silliest, fastest, funniest farces ever to have been written. It is a pantomime for grown-ups, deliciously dirty, blissfully bawdy and as camp as Christmas. This 50-year-old-script by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart (better known as the creator of M*A*S*H) is a master class in farce.

Forum was the first musical for which Stephen Sondheim wrote both music and lyrics. Forum first opened on Broadway in 1962, and since then the musical has been performed all over the world and has won every kind of theatrical award possible.
