The Snowdrop Trail

Families can follow a snowdrop trail through the grounds and enjoy the early blossoms of camellia and quince. At this time of year delicate snowdrop bulbs are starting to emerge after their winter dormancy, the first sign that spring is just around the corner.

Following the trail is a great way to wake up the system, and a dusting of frost or snow adds to the beauty of a walk. Energetic visitors may prefer the challenge of the one hour Hever Lake Walk around the perimeter of the boating lake to look for signs of wildlife (weather permitting). The breathtaking vista of the historic castle in the stark winter landscape offers fantastic photo opportunities, while a visit to the castle itself will reveal its colourful history.

Then head for The Workshop Centre from Saturday 16 – Sunday 24 February where the Lady of the Wildwoods returns to delight young visitors with stories of spring and a workshop. Her interactive storytelling and popular workshops both take place in the Workshop Centre, providing an ideal opportunity for parents to catch up with friends over a warming drink and snack while the children are entertained.
