Fame
This familiar and much loved show is set during the last years of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street.
Fame-The Musical is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of gruelling artistic and academic work. With candour, humour and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today: issues of prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance.
With music by Steven Margoshes, lyrics by Jacques Levy, and a book by Jose Fernandez based on a concept by David DeSilva, this promises to be an exciting event which everyone will enjoy. Students have been rehearsing hard and are now ready to show off their talents in one of the first shows in the newly re-opened Regal Theatre.
