35MM: A Musical Exhibition
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, but what about a song? Can one picture inspire a song? How about fifteen photos? In 35MM, each photo creates a different song - unique moments frozen in time; a glimmer of a life unfolding, a glimpse of something happening.
35MM: A Musical Exhibition is written by 2011 Lucille Lortel Award nominee and 2009 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient, Ryan Scott Oliver and is inspired by the photographs of Matthew Murphy. As well as 35MM (which recently completed a sell-out, extended off-Broadway run), Oliver’s successes include Mrs Sharp (2008 Richard Rodgers Award winner) and Darling (featured on the ‘Bound for Broadway’ episode of NBC’s The Apprentice).
As Told By's production of 35MM represents the European premiere of this stunning multimedia musical, which explores a ground-breaking new concept in musical theatre.
