Father Of The Bride Tour
Vampire Weekend have announced details of their November 2019 UK and European tour. The tour, which starts on Thursday 7th November in Edinburgh will feature shows in the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands including a 10,000 capacity event at London’s Alexandra Palace on Wednesday 13th November.
The announcement follows the recent news that Vampire Weekend will release a fourth album – titled Father Of The Bride – on 3rd May via Columbia Records. Father Of The Bride is the highly anticipated follow up to the GRAMMY-winning Modern Vampires Of The City.
Vampire Weekend was formed by Ezra Koenig, Chris Tomson, Chris Baio and former member Rostam Batmanglij in 2006 while enrolled at Columbia University. They combine African rhythms and Peter Gabriel-esque vocals with an urban, punkish tone, describing themselves as specialists in the styles of 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa', 'Upper West Side Soweto', 'Campus', and 'Oxford Comma Riddim'. The band have over 1 Billion cumulative streams across digital platforms.

A group of talented musicians from Mali, Africa. Raised on a diet of Hip-Hop, R&B and Hendrix, all those old ‘world music’ prejudices have no place here. Songhoy Blues are four talented, hungry, sharp and outward-looking young men from a part of the world that has had more than its share of pain and conflict in recent years.
