The Coffee Opera

After the resounding success of Acis & Galatea, Music of the Spheres invites you to The Coffee Opera, a unique blend of Baroque music and contemporary music theatre.

John Butt musically directs a story of coffee addiction, consumer culture and wonton women intertwined with a historically informed performance of J.S. Bach's 1732 cantata (BWV 211). An altogether new piece written and directed by Edinburgh-based librettist Michael Wood, and composer James Oldham, Artistic Director of Waste Paper Opera, Birmingham.

Starring: Sam Carl, Nora Holden, Kenneth Reid.
