Hamlet

The HandleBards is Shakespeare done differently. The four-strong, all male HandleBards company are back on their bikes and cycling the UK for their third season. On just four bicycles they carry all the necessary set, props and costumes to perform two of Shakespeare’s greatest plays, using bikes to power various surprises and contraptions on-stage, whilst playing all the parts.

Following the death of his father, the King, Hamlet’s uncle takes the throne and marries Hamlet’s mother. At night, the ghost of the old king demands that Hamlet avenge his ‘foul and most unnatural murder’. See Shakespeare’s tragedy of the Prince of Denmark as you have never seen it before.
