Byron's Romantic Adventures In Spain

In 1809 Lord Byron embarked on his journey through Spain and Portugal and onwards across the Mediterranean to Albania and Greece - the prelude to his fame and infamy. Much has been made of this journey, yet his brief sojourn in Spain has received little attention. In this talk acclaimed author Richard Cardwell will examine the poet's 'romantic' adventures in Spain and tell us how his works were received in the country.
