New Drama Double Bill

Estrada Creative and Performance Arts Actors Studio proudly present a special Drama Double Bill of two new plays. Presented at Edinburgh's prestigious Church Hill Theatre (33 Morningside Road) in celebration of the theatre's 50th anniversary.

It has already performed to considerable critical and audience acclaim in Glasgow, is a powerful 50-minute drama set in a West Yorkshire Police interview room in 1979.

A young well-educated man, Michael Gallagher, emerges from overnight custody to face old-school CID DS John Pearce on a charge of a serious racially-motivated crime.

The Lift. Written by Thom McKeown and Directed by Noel Franson
Following an intermission, The Life receives its public premier. Two women and a man enter the lift following a business meeting on the 15th floor.

The lift begins its decent then judders violently before stalling. As time passes, old scores, fears, crises and revelations emerge, while the oxygen levels decrease as the intense, internal heat rises. Will all three survive this encased nightmare?

The cast will create the illusion of a claustrophobic space through their skills on stage.
