Mighty Boosh star Julian Barratt is to tour the UK with his new film Mindhorn. He wrote the script with Horrible Histories actor Simon Farnaby, a long-time collaborator, and the pair will be visiting at least 15 cinemas in April and May to present the comedy moive. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A with the pair.

In the film, directed by Sean Foley, Farnaby plays washed-up actor Richard Thorncroft, best known as 1980s TV detective Mindhorn, whose robotic eye could literally see the truth.

But when a present-day criminal runs amok on the Isle of Man, he will only deal with the fictional detective – propelling Thorncroft back into the limelight.

Farnaby also stars alongside Essie Davis, Russell Tovey, Andrea Riseborough, Jessica Barden, Harriet Walter and Steve Coogan.
