Journey Into The World Of Science

If you’d like to go on an interactive journey through science and learn some interesting facts along the way, then come to the Under Ground Theatre on Saturday 22nd August at 10am. Local author and puppeteer, Richard Robinson will be showing a collection of experiments designed to make science fun.

If your children constantly ask you questions that seem unanswerable such as:
Why does the toast always land butter side down?
Why is ‘black’ sometimes actually ‘white’?
How can a bottle blow up a party balloon?
Then Richard will be on hand to give them the answers.

Richard is best known for building and voicing puppets for the television series Splitting Image, The Riddlers, Dizzy Heights, and Puddle Lane. He also played Bungle in the 1994-1995 revival of the children's series Rainbow. Richard visits schools and festivals with science cabaret acts and has written nearly twenty children’s books on science. In 2005 he founded the Brighton Science Festival, now one of the biggest in the UK.

There will be a book signing from 11:30am onwards and Richard’s books will be available for sale throughout the morning.
