Steve Hackett
"We are both delighted and privileged to welcome to our stage, Guitarist and Composer Steve Hackett, for what promises to be one of his most intimate acoustic concerts of the year, performed in the beautiful surroundings of our Elephant cafe bar-restaurant.
Lead guitarist in Genesis from 1970 to 1977, Steve Hackett embarked on a solo career while still in the group, releasing his first album, Voyage of the Acolyte in 1975. Since that time he has continued to work as a solo artist, co-fronting GTR with Yes/Asia guitarist Steve Howe in the mid-80s and has collaborated with the likes of Paul Carrick, John Wetton and Brian May - who credited Steve as an early influence.
He has released a plethora of electric, classical and acoustic based albums and in October 2015 Premonitions: The Charisma Years 1975 – 1983 - 14 disc boxed set including his first six solo albums, was released. Artist Roger Dean designed the cover art for this box set – and as Roger Dean’s official gallery in the UK, you can view the original paintings here at Trading Boundaries.
Steve will be joined on stage by his brother John Hackett on flute, Roger King on keyboards, Rob Townsend on Saxophone and special guest Amanda Lehman on vocals.
Join us for a fabulous candlelit dinner and become part of this very special evening. We look forward to seeing you."
