Essence of Place By Alexa Hope

Alexa Wilson trained at Glasgow School of Art and tutored in art education.As an artist her interests include oriental Art, Scottish landscape, animals, human form and the natural environment. Central to the work is an enjoyment of working with mixed media, forming relationships with materials through an almost meditative process where the form of the work evolves.

Currently a full time artist working from a studio at home producing textile artwork, ceramics and paintings but she continues to exhibit artwork through Galleries, Craft Fairs and through personal website www.sonasmile.com.

The exhibition of new works range from paintings, textile art, ceramics and jewellery creating a rich palette of mixed media reflected through her interests in nature, human and animal form.
