If you like a good story you will enjoy Bara Bread, its all about returning back to story and returning back to when life was less complicated. The play has a character age range from 18 to 70 which was integral to my writing, representing strong women, who all bring something to the table. Through the kneading and the baking of the bread, they discover who they are. With splashes of truth and a pinch of magic realism we invite you to join us to 'Bake Bread Together'!

Nettie is approaching her 40th year and doesn't know which way to turn. She finds herself standing in her mother’s kitchen alone except for her mother’s ashes and a scrap book of recipes and a note that reads 'lets bake bread together'.

It is time for Nettie to scatter her ash and create the mother dough. But does she remember how to bake bread? She hasn't eaten a carb in years. The mother dough brings new friends into Nettie's life, Maggie the shepherdess, wild and free, Mair the Vicar, upright like a head stone but soft as the very dough. Annabel the estate agent, so well turned out and little Lara, pregnant at 16 left holding the baby.

Through Nettie's wish to find herself, these individuals all come to the table to make bread with her.
