Ivan Drever, Andy Donaldson

Chris's Gigs is delighted to welcome the Orcadian singer/songwriter Ivan Drever to the WRI Hall in Comrie on Saturday 14th March. This is an opportunity to hear one of Scotland's top traditional musicians in a wonderfully intimate setting, performing his own songs and tunes.

Ivan Drever is not only a great songwriter with a warm and impressive voice, he is also a superb guitarist, and for more than a decade played with the well known band Wolfstone which he helped to found. For many, he was Wolfstone's stylistic backbone and since his departure from the band, he has forged ahead with his career as a solo and as a duo artist. He often tours with his ex Wolfstone bandmate Duncan Chisholm, and at some point we promise we will bring them both to Comrie. But for now, Ivan is appearing as a solo performer and we are very excited to welcome him. He has a huge catalogue of recordings and his most recent 'What You Hear" has been hugely well received.

This will be a wonderful concert of heartfelt, moving and uplifting songs and tunes and to open for Ivan we have Crieff's own Andy Donaldson who has agreed to support someone he has long considered a hero.
