Featuring

Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden appearing at this event

One of the original 80s New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands, and without doubt the most successful. Now back with Bruce Dickenson behind the mic, Iron Maiden are regarded as the greatest metal band of them all, their inspiration spreading far and wide and spanning all ages. Few bands can claim to have kept their original audience and successfully enticed on board a new generation, who weren't even in the cradle when the band first hit the stage running! Yet Iron Maiden have achieved just this in their 25 years plus career.

Judas Priest

Judas Priest appearing at this event

One of the stalwarts of the British hard rock scene whose in-your-face metal rocked a generation. Known for twin lead guitars, a wide operatic vocal style, and for introducing the S&M leather-and-studs look into heavy metal, they have sold over 45 million albums worldwide.

Nightwish

Nightwish appearing at this event

Equal parts epic metal and gothic symphony, Nightwish stand alone. They blend soaring keyboards and operatic vocals with shredding guitars and jagged rhythms for a style of cinematic, orchestral heavy music all their own.

Megadeth

Megadeth appearing at this event

Formed in 1983 by guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine after an acrimonious departure from Metallica, Megadeth became one of the most acclaimed and successful thrash metal bands of their era and beyond. Mustaine expanded on the typical metal blueprint by speeding up the tempos and putting an emphasis on his lightning-fast technical guitar skills. His nihilistic lyrics and unrelenting musical attack resulted in a series of thrash metal classics from Megadeth throughout the 1980s and into the early '90s. Along with being considered high water marks of the metal genre, 1986's Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? and 1992's Countdown to Extinction sold in the millions and influenced the next generation of speed metal bands.

Hollywood Vampires

Hollywood Vampires appearing at this event

In 1972, on the Sunset Strip at a club called the Rainbow Bar & Grill, the Hollywood Vampires were born in the upstairs bar. It was a gathering place for the rock stars living in or passing through L.A. 'To join the club, one simply had to out drink all of the members,' says Alice Cooper, a founding member of the Vampires. 'I would walk in on a typical night and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, who would usually be in a costume like a maid or a chauffeur, Bernie Taupin, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz would be there. The next week might be Bernie Taupin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz.' In 2013, Cooper and good pal Johnny Depp got together and decided the spirit of the Hollywood Vampires should live again (minus the drinking). Cooper and Depp were joined by long time mutual friend Joe Perry and the recording began: a tribute to the original Hollywood Vampires. An environment was born for great artists to hang, laugh and play together. Sir Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Slash, Robbie Krieger, Zak Starkey and more stopped by to record.

Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold appearing at this event

Californian metalcore warriors Avenged Sevenfold fuse the pulsating elements of Pantera, Metallica and Maiden with Bad Religion, The Misfits, Guns & Roses and Nofx. They've been hailed by Ultimate Guitar as one of the top ten bands of the decade. The band have also become known for their spectacular live shows, routinely selling out arenas worldwide and headlining some of the biggest and most prestigious music festivals. Following the tragic death of original drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan, the band chose to carry on and recruited Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater to replace Sullivan for their fifth studio album, 2010's 'Nightmare'. The band have achieved worldwide success with a string of best-selling albums - including their 2005 platinum breakthrough City Of Evil, 2007’s Avenged Sevenfold, Nightmare (2010) and their most recent, Hail To The King - achieving Diamond, Platinum and Gold awards for album sales in nearly a dozen countries.

Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson appearing at this event

Dare you enter the world of Grammy-nominated metal shock-rocker MM, whose dark gothic image and outrageous behaviour guarantees him front page news across the world? You should do - underneath the make-up, there's an inviting mixture of industrial rock with a techno-distorted edge (and occasional glam-rock slant) that never makes the tabloids. An unforgettable live experience, too.

Stone Sour

Stone Sour appearing at this event

Slipknot unmasked - or Corey Taylor and James Root's 'other' band - Stone Sour offers a more introspective and intimate take on music, thus the absence of their masks. Stone Sour generate music for the sheer passion of it; not concerning themselves with any particular genre, rather maintaining a sound based upon good hard rock, killer melody and emotional peaks and valleys. A Molotov cocktail of pure rock adrenaline with a splash of melody.

Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit appearing at this event

Limp Bizkit formed in the mid-1990s in Jacksonville, an assemblage of visionaries brought together by frontman Fred Durst, a former Navy plebe turned tattoo artist who'd been writing raps since he was 14. The collision of sensibilities between Durst, Otto, Borland, bassist Sam Rivers and House of Pain's DJ Lethal formed a synthesis that was entirely of its time, a sonic barrage of crunchy power chords, phat grooves and psycho-delic loops that was without precedent - at least all under the same roof.

Deftones

Deftones appearing at this event

Grammy winning American hard rock outfit Deftones have an unquestionable passion for music. Booming drums, screeching feedback, and gut-born screams, they create innovative, atmospheric music that reaches far beyond that achieved by most rock bands. The Californian five-piece, fronted by the enigmatic Chino Moreno, have helped redefine alternative music over the years.

A Perfect Circle

A Perfect Circle appearing at this event

Often described by critics as an art-rock inspired alt-metal "supergroup"; A Perfect Circle are American five-piece guitar heavy alt-rockers who combine the vocals of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and the music of co-songwriter and producer Billy Howerdel to produce a darkly textured collection of songs. Howerdel spent years working as a guitar tech for the likes of Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails whilst penning songs in his spare time. He shared some of them with Keenan who felt he should sing them and the band was formed. The two are joined by Matt McJunkins of Beta Machine and Eagles Of Death Metal on bass and Jeff Friedl on drums of Devo and Carina Round.
