The Vera Lynn Story

How did a simple girl from East Ham rise to become the most famous singer of her time?

Relive Dame Vera Lynn’s remarkable story from her early years in working men's clubs through her time with the leading dance bands of the 1930s to her incredible wartime popularity and beyond to the 50s, 60s and 70s.

In this authentic stage biography, Samantha takes the role of Dame Vera recalling the highs and lows of her life.

Samantha beautifully captures Dame Vera's warmth and spirit through fascinating anecdotes covering her life and career, and through the songs that made her famous.

Samantha is Britain's foremost interpreter of Vera Lynn's music and her voice has been praised by The Stage newspaper as "perfection".

The songs are accompanied on the piano by James Hall, an experienced and talented accompanist and performer in his own right.

Please note, this is not a tribute show, it is an acted and sung biography of Dame Vera's life.
