Earth Wind & Stevie is another bucket list project formed by Simply Dan’s Mark Roadnight and David McLeod, with a vision to perform classic songs from both the Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind and Fire catalogue with a stellar band of the Capital’s finest touring musicians, leaving no musical nuance left unturned.
Wayne Hernandez (Lead Vocals)
After winning the Best Vocal Award for The Prince Charles Trust, Wayne went on to sign a recording deal with Epic Records where he released 3 singles and an Album called Telepathic written and produced by Barry Blue and Rod Temperton. In the USA, he worked with Diana Ross, Roberta Flack and Brian McKnight, and was a guest vocalist on Grover Washington’s Album, Soulful Strut. He also completed an American/Asian Tour with Kool and The Gang. On his return to the UK, Wayne performed on soundtracks for the film ‘Oh Happy Day’ and continued working with artists such as Jay Z, Ed Sheeran, Tina Turner, Tori Amos, Madonna, Yusuf Islam, and Quincy Jones. For over 12 years Wayne has worked with Damon Albarn for his solo projects, Gorillaz and Blur, and has put together a Marvin Gaye tribute band which presently performs around the UK. His latest venture was performing with Kingdom Choir for Harry &Meghan’s Royal Wedding. Wayne is in the middle of recording a new material for an album for a new year’s release.
