Jacquin Trio

Performing works combining clarinet and piano with both violin and viola, the Trio give a concert focusing on British and Hungarian music of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Huw Watkins' highly evocative Speak Seven Seas and Bartók’s exhilarating Contrasts bookend the evening's programme. The Trio will also perform the extraordinary Blaze and Fall by Charlotte Bray, commissioned by the Jacquins in 2017 and performed here alongside its intended partner, György Kurtág's Hommage à R. Schumann.
