Since their formation in 2004 Bellowhead have occupied a unique place in Britain's musical landscape. Wild, joyous, perverse, bold, crazy, full-blooded, intricate, fearless, funny, epic and mostly BIG, the mighty 11-piece Bellowhead blend folk, jazz, classical, disco and world music influences with English music and cabaret to stunning effect. Playing more than 20 instruments between them with six vocalists, they deliver a heady brew that defies categorisation and have placed themselves at the cutting edge of the contemporary music scene while harnessing all the power and mystery of ancient English and European musical traditions.

Champions of the Madchester era, and famous for anthems such as Sit Down and She's A Star, James are one of the classic bands of the British music scene. They reformed in 2007 after a five year hiatus and have continued going strong ever since. In fact, James are now better than ever. You won't want to sit down to their anthems, they deserve a standing ovation.

The Dhol Foundation
Emerging from leader Johnny Kalsi's massively popular drum classes, the Dhol Foundation (the dhol is a large North Indian drum) perform a wonderful blend of classic Indian music with global rhythms and thumping contemporary beats. This ferociously original fusion should be no surprise as Kalsi has been instrumental in some of the most groundbreaking groups on the Asian and world music scene including bhangra pioneers Alaap, Fun Da Mental, Asian Dub Foundation and Transglobal Underground.

Alejandro Toledo & The Magic Tombolinos
Six-piece led by classically trained saxophonist Alejandro Toledo who has studied and toured with world renowned Gypsy bands. Now heading his own ensemble, Alejandro has put together a group of the finest musicians to produce a blend of music which is both stunning in its technical skill and enthralling for its unique sound. To a bedrock of Balkan Gypsy, the mix is sprinkled with Latin, African, Middle-Eastern, Rock and Hip-hop to create one of the most exciting sounds on the circuit.

Urusen are an Indie Folk band from Somerset and London. They recently signed a publishing deal with RealWorld and following performances at Glastonbury and WOMAD are recording a new album. Guitars, drums, cello, double bass, and an eclectic array of instruments such as harmonium, mbira, banjo and charango, rousing harmonies are woven into modern folk-tinged pop arrangements with a lyrical, story-telling signature and stirring delivery. An eclectic fusion that has evolved by absorbing influences from blues, rock, Indian, jazz, Latino and dance with gorgeous harmonies and melodies. Satsangi are a British indie rock band with roots in Kerala, India. They have gigged extensively, including with The Kills, The Primitives, The Moons. Their sound has been described as blending rock ‘n’ roll, new wave and punk riffs to tripped out jazz and psych. Rolling Stone magazine describes their music in the feature ‘Satsangi Come To India’ as, “charged by guitar romp and fiery vocals, the sound is fresh, crisp and aggressive, Menon offers a compelling mash of vocal styles; rewind to Dolores O’Riordan, Grace Slick, Sinead O’Connor and fast forward to the likes of Bjork and Karen O and add to that the bizarre temperament of the likes of Tori Amos and Regina Spektor.
