About the Band: Dean Newman & the Blue Bros Trio
In the summer of 2022, a shared love for blues music brought together three talented musicians and their adopted home of the Ruhr area. The band is fronted by Welsh-born guitarist and singer Dean Newman, a well-known figure in the local blues scene, alongside the versatile Blue Bros Trio.

Their unique style, aptly named “BarBlues,” blends heartfelt blues ballads with an eclectic mix of blues-adjacent genres, including country, blues rock, rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, and folk. What sets them apart is their infectious passion, years of collective performance experience, and a rich array of instruments: guitar, double bass, harmonica, accordion, and tenor saxophone.

Their repertoire features both original compositions, primarily crafted by Dean Newman, and thoughtfully chosen covers of iconic and underrated blues and country legends. Each performance delivers a soulful, unforgettable live experience.
