Award-winning musicians, composers and folk music scholars The Rheingans Sisters are on the road again, bringing their critically acclaimed third album Bright Field to some very special venues in England this Autumn.

The Guardian quickly hailed Bright Field as "a great record full of originals and stark song settings... it glistens" and the album was crowned 3rd place in the prestigious fRoots Magazine's Album of the Year Critics Poll and has been unanimously celebrated by music industry critics, with live sessions for BBC Radio 2's The Folk Show and BBC Radio 3's Music Planet. Songlines quickly declared Bright Field as a powerful and arresting album and "another potential award-winner" and gave it their much coveted 'Top of The World' status and fRoots crowned Bright Field as their very first 'Ace Album of the Issue' award.

Winners of the 2016 BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for 'Best Original Track', The Rheingans Sisters make playful, powerful and richly connecting music that is wholly contemporary while deeply anchored in folk traditions.

Over the last five years, three critically acclaimed albums, a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award (and two nominations!), audiences across the UK, Europe and Australia have been utterly captivated by their very special live performances. Drawing on their pan-European musical scholarship and their spirited mission to make connections between the music of different geographical roots, they have developed a rich artistic approach to the deconstruction and reimagining of traditional music alongside their own beguiling compositions. Performing live, the sisters are inimitable: full-hearted performers and spontaneous, on-stage improvisors. With their adventurous use of fiddles, voices, banjo, bansitar, tambourin a cordes, spoken word, dancing feet and percussion, The Rheingans Sisters are truly a unique and unmissable act on the folk and world music stage today.

They will release their much anticipated fourth album in Spring 2020!
