Never miss another 'Deep Purple' show
The Long Goodbye Tour: Deep Purple, Europe, Cats In Space
This will be the chance to see Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Deep Purple, one of the most iconic bands ever, in support of their brand new studio album ‘inFinite’ which is released by earMusic early in 2017, preceded by the first single out January 20th.
Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey, Mark VIII of the band, continue to travel the scope of hard rock - the textures and nuances of recent works are anything but thudding retreads. If you set a random play setting for the band’s entire catalogue, the result is one of the finest musical outputs to grace rock music.
The latter-year Purple has moved progressively into new areas, piquing fans’ interest who were not born when the mighty Purple machine ruled the music world’s money trees. Their holy grail of ‘In Rock’ (1970) ‘Machine Head’ (1972) and ‘Made In Japan’ released in 1973 catapulted Deep Purple to the top in concert grosses and album sales around the world, with track ‘Smoke On The Water’ ascending to mega-status.

Travel back to the heady days of the 1970s when bands like Queen, 10cc, ELO, The Who & Cheap Trick ruled the analogue airwaves. The band is formed entirely of musicians with a wealth of experience - both writers and performers with an impressive musical CV including The Sweet, T’Pau, Ian Gillan, Asia, Robin Trower Band, 10cc, Arena, Moritz, Airrace & Statetrooper, to name but a few.
Cats In Space’s debut album, ‘Too Many Gods’ was released worldwide in October 2015, with a single ‘Mr Heartache’ preceding it on 1st September. The single is co-written by founder member of the band and guitarist Greg Hart & lead vocalist of 10cc, Mick Wilson and also features a guest appearance by legendary Glam Rocker Andy Scott from ‘The Sweet’ on both vocals and guitar.
The album features soaring multi-tracked vocal harmonies nestled alongside guitar orchestrations, superlative keyboards, bombastic drums, thundering basses and luscious pianos, creating music that is there to be enjoyed in one continuous journey, as it used to be in those awesome pre-digital days…
