Kuunatic

Mixing heavy psychedelia with textural Japanese music, Kuunatic create 'outlandish landscapes...heavy psychedelic beats, drawn out guitar backed with tribal overtones', managing to cultivate prog-rock, horror, latin & dance as influences on their incredible, maximalist psychedelic sound.

Formed in Tokyo in 2016, by 3 female members with wildly differing musical/cultural backgrounds, debut EP Kuurandia explores primitive drumming, pulsing bass lines, atmospheric keyboard sounds with Japanese local instruments. Topped with 3-female vocal harmonies, it's music takes listeners "on a trip into their ritual translunary land'.
