Pilgrim Theatre, a newly-formed graduate theatre group, bring you an evening of edge-of-your seat thrills as they bring you a rehearsed reading of two classic radio thrillers - Sorry, Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher and The House in Cypress Canyon by Robert L. Richards. Both originally featured on the classic radio series Suspense and are regarded as two of the most terrifying stories ever transmitted on radio.
In Sorry Wrong Number, a bedridden woman overhears a gruesome murder plot over the phone after a faulty connection. In her desperate attempt to alert the authorities, she comes to a terrifying conclusion. Originally performed in 1942 starring Agnes Moorehead and later adapted into a feature film in 1948 starring Barbara Stanwyck.
In The House in Cypress Canyon, a young couple purchase a newly built home to start a new life; only to hear unearthly cries in the dead of night and find blood oozing from underneath a locked closet. Originally performed in 1946 starring Robert Taylor and Cathy Lewis.
