Folk In The Owl's Nest Presents
This month, there is a chance to see a solo set from the outstanding People Poems. Hailing from Leeds, he brings a mix of the gently intimate with lightly rolling, fingerpicked plaintive songs that shine a cold winter light in contrast with the warmth of his personal lyrics, but he also serves more sombre work, along with soaring two way melodies - all intriguing and tempting repeat listens.
Support comes from Geraint John Jones, who’ll be singing his own brand of folk, his songs chart a collection of experiences of the lives and loves of people across the globe, as well as the raw folk edginess of Mark Mathews.
