A genuine British musical legend.
After building his reputation as part of Squeeze, in 1987, Jools formed The Jools Holland Big Band which gradually metamorphosed into the current 19-piece Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.
The rhythm and blues phenomenon returns to Canterbury featuring Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Sumudu Jayatilaka, along with Special Guest Imelda May. Plus introducing Toby Lee, a new young guitarist who will join them on stage.
Jools Holland
Former Squeeze ivory-tickler and presenter of the legendary Later with Jools Holland. Since learning to play fluently at the tender age of eight, Jools has gone on to become one of the UK's most proficient jazz and blues pianists. Having toured extensively with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, his charismatic personality, impeccably good taste and accessible music have made him one of the nations most well-respected, and well-loved, musicians. Jools was awarded an OBE in 2003 for his services to the British music industry. He is married with four children and lives in a world of his own.
