Fightback - Grassroots Promoter Presents

Cambridge's Fightback fundraiser show, in support of Music Venue trust is taking place on Wednesday 19th September at 7pm.

Headlining the night are 'The Rogues', a London based indie band who will be joined on their Cambridge debut by 'GrassRoof', 'Maud' and Cambridge based band 'Sploco', with all profits raised from the event going towards supporting grassroots music venues throughout the country.

The Music Venue Trust fights to protect, secure and improve Grassroots Music Venues. MVT is the only organisation that places the future of grassroots music venues at the heart of everything it does. MVT campaigns successfully to keep venues open, improve their reputation, lower their costs and increase their income. To deliver this work, MVT is reliant upon public donations and financial support from fundraising events like this.

'The Rogues' are a Contemporary Indie band currently based in East London. Influenced by the likes of The Libertines, Courteeners and the Arctic Monkeys, they were awarded band of the year 2015 (Lindsey online).

'Sploco', more commonly seen out performing at venues across Edinburgh including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival have recently moved to Cambridge. Take this great opportunity to see them here first.

'GrassRoof' are a psychedelic indie band made up of Music Students based in Cambridge. They have played venues and festivals throughout East Anglia, and it's amazing that they can be involved in this event.

'Maud' are an indie band inspired by Nirvana, Kate Bush, The Cure.
