Cards On The Table

'Cards on the Table' adapted by Leslie Darbon from the novel by Agatha Christie.

Mr Shaitana is a wealthy man of dubious morals. He is also a collector of valuable 'objets d'art.'

One evening he invites two specialists, Superintendent Battle of Scotland Yard and Mrs Oliver, the crime novelist, to a dinner party to 'view' his 'special collection', a group of four people who have all committed murder and got away with it.

During an after dinner game of bridge, Shaitana is daringly murdered and the killer has to be one of those present at the party.

Battle sets out to solve the crime, aided by the eager Mrs Oliver, who sets out to approach the case by means of studying bridge score cards.

Skeletons in the cupboard, a further two murders, and several red herrings litter the path to solving the case.
