We invite you to join us on Friday 2nd May at Junction 2, Cambridge for what could be the biggest night of our Waking Light Tour.
Junction 2 is the largest venue on the tour, so we hope you'll pack the place out for our first ever headline show there. It's a great venue that we haven't had the chance to play since 2021 so we're very much looking forward to our return!
Expect to hear songs from Self Aware, Relentless and maybe even a bit of new material.
Bio:
Empyre are on the rise. Kscope signed the band in 2022, and in March 2023 they released their second electric album Relentless. This followed their debut album Self Aware in 2019 and The Other Side in 2021. Living up to their own album's title, their relentless release schedule means in 2024 they made it 4 albums in 5 years with the release of Live & Unplugged in May.
Plaudits have included being awarded a ‘High Hopes’ feature by Classic Rock Magazine, along with winning their “Track Of The Week” on three separate occasions. Kerrang! described their sound as "slick, vast and like the music was written with the help of an architectural blue print for an arena" and Planet Rock heralded the band as ‘Ones to Watch’.
Amongst the album releases of 2023 and 2024 they have also firmly established themselves as a headline act with a string of sold out shows.

Empyre
Planet Rock – “Everything about Empyre’s beguiling music is colossal sounding” Kerrang! - “Empyre … sound slick, vast and like the music was written with the help of an architectural blue print for an arena” BBC Introducing - “No stage is too big for these guys” and “Thunderous rock with one of the meatiest sounds in the UK right now” Rock Today – “Debut album Self Aware – groundbreaking!…it’s a game changer” Empyre perform intense, atmospheric rock, with a dark and introspective edge to their writing. In the words of BBC Introducing their music ranges from “Triumphant, chest beating rock” to more subtle but just as arresting numbers inviting you to do the deepest of soul searching. This is a gritty, lyrically engaging and profound style of rock music you have not heard before. 2018 saw Empyre play HRH Ibiza, and perform sessions for BBC Introducing and the world renowned ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris’ ‘Under The Apple Tree’ sessions, a privilege normally exclusively reserved for country acts. 2019 has seen the release of their debut album ‘Self Aware’, gaining attention from Classic Rock Magazine, Kerrang!, and Planet Rock; heralding them as ‘Ones to Watch’, playlisting their music, announcing them for Winters End 2020 and premiering the video for the song ‘Stone’.
