The Tales Of Hoffmann By Offenbach

Considered a work of genius, this dark comedy is revived in a new production by James Bonas. Inventive, highly theatrical and featuring the virtuoso talents of young tenor Sam Furness, The Tales Of Hoffman is famous for melodies such as the Barcarolle and its wonderful and bizarre stories.

Late at night in a tavern, while waiting for his latest mistress, the poet Hoffmann tells an audience the story of his former loves - from the mechanical doll to a Venetian courtesan, each are represented in a strange and remarkable narrative.
