The Music Of Nature

Featuring music by Dame Ethel Smythe (1858 to 1944 Born in Kent) whose composition ‘The March of the Women’ with lyrics by Cicely Hamilton, was adopted as the anthem for the women’s suffrage movement.

Also Madeleine Dring (1923-1977) composer, violinist, pianist and actor. Willow Rivers b.1981 composer and pianist. The programme will also include music inspired by female poets and musical settings of poetry by Emily Dickinson (1830 to 1886) composed by Jacob Bride b.1985.

Music will be performed by Willow Rivers, Jacob Bride and a 10 piece instrumental ensemble.
