Discover the hidden talents of found objects and discarded materials. Make a short wordless performance with found objects as actors. Find drama and content for the performance within the objects and materials. Learn how to bring objects alive and how to use their talents.

We are going to find drama in the objects and in combinations of objects.

We are going to combine what the participants want to tell with the talents of the objects. The basics of scenario writing for visual theatre are explained. Also role of scenography, music and light be explored in their special form for wordless visual theatre.

Please bring something, or a few things, from the list below. The list is meant to inspire, you don’t have to bring everything, but it’s ok if you do. Remember, do not bring tiny objects you need to be able to perform them for an audience.

-something that you do not like very much (something ugly)

-something that you like a lot

-something that you found in the street

-something that you had recently thrown away

-something broken
-any kind of special effect (things that can do something)

-something with a movement (like an umbrella or a bicycle pump. Or something broken with still some kind of movement possible )
-something cute or lovely

-something simple and powerful

-something aggressive

-special clothes or fabric

-live instrument(s) that you can play
