Fuelled By Cider: The West Country Invasion: The Skimmity Hitchers + The Surfin Turnips + The Inbredz + The Shinkickers + DJ Dapper Dan

Cider fuelled shenanigans from the heart of the West Country.
The Skimmity Hitchers play old style Scrumpy and Western music with a modern edge - a mix of parodies, original material and drinking songs with the emphasis on a real good time.
The fermented sound of Johnny Cash fronting the Sex Pistols after 10 pints of scrumpy, great audience interaction and an unhealthy fixation with badgers, Skimmity Hitchers have been causing cider hoedown explosions at festivals, pubs and functions to rave reviews.

The Surfin' Turnips are a West Country renaissance folk-punk group who aim to spread the Word Of The West to the lost souls in need of apple salvation. Specialising in scrumpy, sea songs and West Country pride songs, they have released three West Country LPs. The Surfin' Turnips consist of Jamer Turnip on guitars, Matt Pants on drums, Titch Wilson on bass and Ian O'Star on accordion. The band hail from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset; but have strong associations with the town of Chipping Sodbury where they met while working, and the areas around Bristol where they currently live.
The Surfin Turnips tour dates
Forget Compton and South Central, LA. The real bad boyz of hip hop live in Somerset, rapping about real issues like bed-wetting, Black Rat cider and rural mid life crises. If you like yer h**s dirty and yer b*tches to round up sheep, these are the boyz for you.
The Inbredz tour dates
Brand new cider folk band from round these parts playing traditional music with timeless themes (cider, fair maidens, the River Avon). Featuring some Scrumpy & Western legends on accordian and banjo.
