Info provided by the Event Organiser
Mutant-Thoughts are a Prog Synth-Rock trio based in Bristol, UK; comprised of Han Luis Cera (Synthesisers, Lead Vocal), Joshua Lennox (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocal) and Tom Pearmain (Drums, Backing Vocal).
The band blends a-typical grooves with eerie synth textures and vocal harmony to create music full of brooding atmospheres and restless rhythmic energy.
Mutant-Thoughts have gained esteem for their powerful and energetic live show, releasing a debut EP 'Is This Me?' in September 2017 to a packed house at local rock venue 'The Louisiana'. The eponymous title track was featured on BBC Introducing in the West on 17th August 2018.
FFO: Radiohead, Yes, Pink Floyd, Talk Talk, Depeche Mode, How To Destroy Angels
In August 2018, the band had a major breakthrough by getting the Grammy Winning producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johnny Cash, Prince, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, System of a Down, etc.) to record and produce a new EP, and put her expertise into Mutant-Thoughts’ atypical sound. The EP was mastered at Optimum Mastering Studios in Bristol, and the first Single, "Odd Boy" will be released on the 05/04/2019. The EP will be released on the 11th of May 2019, the same day of the release gig at Crofters Rights in Bristol.

Using live-coded generative and procedural composition techniques, theskyisthinaspaperhere combine ambient electronica with post-rock to create a dark, brooding melancholia.
No pre-rendered backing tracks or visuals here: all performances are generated in real-time using custom made, Kinect-controlled software. Projected visuals allow the audience to see what is being coded alongside a constantly updating vector-based representation of the score.
Retro-hacker imagery blurs the line between technology and the arcane; the interface becomes the aesthetic.
