Seattle-born pianist Aaron Parks was hailed as “the new Brad Mehldau” when his Blue Note debut, Invisible Cinema, appeared in 2008. By the time of Aborescence, his 2013 solo set for ECM, he’d become the leading pianist of his generation, with an identity entirely his own.

A member of the band James Farm alongside Joshua Redman, Matt Penman and Eric Harland, and a contributor to several Spike Lee soundtracks, Aaron Parks appears tonight in his state-of-the-art New York trio with the legendary drummer Billy Hart and bassist Ben Street.
