Jack Dee

Jack Dee appearing at this event

Although he's a man of few smiles, Jack Dee's deadpan, dry humour has made him one of Britain's favourite veteran comedians. Starting his career as a stand-up comic, he first came to the small screen in the 1990s as the face of the John Smith's Bitter advertising campaign and soon became known as 'The Midget with the Widget'. By 1995, he had appeared in countless TV shows and gained an impressive array of awards. In 2001, he was the highlight of Celebrity Big Brother digging secret escape tunnels while the others were in the bath. Much to his surprise, the nation showed their adoration voting him the winner of the series. With often sell-out gigs, a chance to see this talented misery onstage definitely shouldn't be missed.

Nina Conti

Nina Conti appearing at this event

Ground-breaking ventriloquist Nina is a star of BBC's Live at the Apollo, QI and HBO's Family Tree. Nina began her career as an actress at the Royal Shakespeare Company, before the genius and anarchic theatre director Ken Campbell inspired her to become a ventriloquist. In 2008 she won the prestigious Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for her solo show Complete and Utter Conti. In 2010, Talk to the Hand had sell out seasons in Edinburgh, London, Melbourne, the Sydney Opera House and New York. 'Put simply, Nina Conti is a genius' (The Daily Mirror) 'A gem... funny, poignant, novel’ (The Guardian) 'I laughed until I couldn't breathe' (Melbourne Age) 'Uproariously hilarious' (The Scotsman).

Chris McCausland

Chris McCausland appearing at this event

Although hailed as the only blind comic on the stand up circuit, comedian Chris McCausland makes light of it. He usually begins with a crack about the irony of a blind man doing observational comedy and then speeds off into his entertaining and refreshing set, making wry and perceptive comments about the rich and famous, every day life and suchlike. Instantly likeable and definitely memorable. 'Proper stand up, honest straightforward and balls-out funny' (Chortle) 'A must see!' (The Sunday Times) 'Always excellent' (The Times) 'Truly brilliant' (Three Weeks) 'The new face of comedy in the UK' (ITV) 'Shining Light!' (Sunday Express) '... fabulously funny and a definite highlight' (Leicester Mercury).
