The Final Clause of Tacitus: Proudly from Reading, UK, The Final Clause of Tacitus have been mixing up their own brand of funk, rock and groove-heavy riffs for only a couple of years, but have already gained national acclaim. They have played with the likes of Hed PE, Electric 6 and Crazy Town and continue to get booked all around the UK, bringing their energetic performances that make 80's aerobic workout videos look like exercise day at the retirement home.

So far they have 2 x 6 track EPs released that received great reviews from many critics and radio shows including Kerrang! They are now writing their first full album.

When asked about how they write they answered, “We write songs based on what first excited us about music. Bands these days forget that they are entertainers first and musicians second. When we go to a gig we want to forget ourselves and get lost in the moment so we hold ourselves to that ideal for our fans. Nothing less than that will do.”

Saul Newbury: Saul Newbury's beautifully crafted songs feature haunting vocals over intricate finger-picking guitar

Songwriter and guitarist Saul Newbury grew up listening to the likes of Nick Drake, John Martin and Bert Jansch, so it’s no surprise that the rich melodies and deep-felt lyrics of these folk legends came to inspire and influence Saul’s unique style. His experimental approach and altered tunings create a beautiful indie folk vibe, perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons. Now, living south of Bristol his focus is primarily on promoting himself as a recording and performing artist, with hopes to release his debut album in 2019.
