On the eve of his 80th birthday, national treasure Barry Cryer is invited by his long-time I’m Sorry I Haven't A Clue sparring partner Graeme Garden to look back on a comedy career that spans six decades and share stories about his writing, performances and friendships with a Who’s Who of the UK’s best known entertainers.
Expect an evening rich in revelations about stars such as Tommy Cooper, Dave Allen, Ronnie Barker, Billy Connolly, Bruce Forsyth, Frankie Howerd, Morecambe & Wise and Kenny Everett as well as quick-fire gags, film and tv clips and celebrity contributions.
The show concludes with Barry receiving the 2015 Aardman Slapstick Comedy Legend Award, presented jointly by Aardman Animations and Bristol’s annual Slapstick Festival of silent and vintage screen comedy.
