Kids Bushcraft Club - Knife & Fire Craft
The perfect introduction for your kids to the great outdoors. Your child will have a great time discovering practical outdoor skills of fire and knife craft in a wonderful woodland setting. They will learn important safety skills in a fun way. Kids will have a go at using a bush craft knife to whittle wood and how to start and control fire safely in the outdoors. They will put their skills to the test with campfire cooking and crafting.
This session is led by our Learning Coordinator Janine Marriott. Adults are welcome to stay and join in or drop off and take a break - why not try our Atrium Cafe and enjoy a coffee and home-made cake! Meeting point is the Spielman Centre but all events take place in the outdoors in the landscape. This session is suitable for both boys and girls aged 8+ years.
As tickets are strictly limited it would be wise to book early to avoid disappointment. Please note that this session is a repeat of an event in May.
Pushchairs and wheelchair users are welcome but as Arnos Vale Cemetery is a listed site, some areas may be less accessible. As Arnos Vale is an outdoor site, to ensure you and your family have a safe and comfortable time, please come dressed for all weathers. This tour route may include some steep slopes, steps and muddy or uneven paths. Wearing warm clothes and sensible shoes is strongly recommended.
