Relaxed Opening - Still I Rise With Centre For Deaf

A tour of Still I Rise designed for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. BSL interpretation will be provided and companions are welcome.

In partnership with Centre for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People, Arnolfini will open our galleries early exclusively for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Join us for a tour of Still I Rise where you will have access to equipment and guidance that will help you explore the artwork on display.

Two BSL interpreters will accompany our tour guide and answer your questions. We have bone conducting headphones that can be used with a selection of the films on display in the exhibition. Alternatively, feel free to come along and explore the exhibition in your own time.

Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance – Act 3 is a large-scale exhibition of international artists, highlighting the experiences of women and celebrating their triumphs – with an expanded programme of performances, screenings, workshops and talks filling Arnolfini through Autumn 2019.

From 10:00 – 11:00 you are welcome to explore our galleries with BSL interpreters.

From 11:00 – 12:00 we invite you to join us in our Light Studio for tea, coffee and biscuits and to gather your feedback. All feedback will be used to improve future events and services.

There is wheelchair access throughout the building. We can provide backed seating. We have accessible and gender neutral toilets, baby changing facilities and a buggy park. The nearest parking spaces for blue badge parking is at the Grove car park.
